This is one of the earliest machine factories to have come up in the city of Frankfurt. It was established by Heinrich Kleyer in the year 1934. The factory came under the company named Adler which was owned by Heinrich Kleyer. The Adlerwerke used to manufacture aircrafts for the country of Germany. The company Adlerwerke was founded by buying out another company which was known by the name of Gerner. After the acquisition of the company Garner was over, the Adlerwerke got all the rights of designs and various other things which were previously owned by the company Garner.
The Adlerwerke also used to manufacture other articles like bicycles and cars. From the period of 1899 to 1945 Adler was known as one of the major car manufacturers of the country of Germany. Numerous other machines were also manufactured by the Adlerwerke. Typewriters and other such machinery which were meant to be used in the offices were also manufactured by the Adlerwerke. In the year 1969 the company was acquired by the Litton industries. It is the factory Adlerwerke in Frankfurt Germany which the tourists must visit. The factory underwent restoration operations in the 1990s and now serves the purpose of attracting the tourists.
